City Council approves new building at Lake Lorna Doone Park

The Orlando City Council has approved a service request with GAI Consultants for the Lake Lorna Doone Park Community Building Project. This new building will have meeting space, offices, restrooms, a concession area and “all necessary infrastructure to support the site and building.”

Both the City and GAI Consultants have agreed to a not-to-exceed proposal of $265,047.17.

Lake Lorna Doone Park covers 12 acres on the west side of Downtown Orlando at 1519 W. Church St.

In addition to data collection, GAI Consultants also handles schematic design, design development, construction documents, permitting, bidding and construction-phase assistance.
