Plate Above Catering is offering its services to families for the upcoming holidays and will donate part of its revenue to Second Harvest Food Bank’s Culinary Training Program, helping local hunger relief efforts.
Second Harvest’s 16-week Culinary Training Program provides culinary and life-skills training for adults facing employment barriers, enabling them to pursue full-time careers in the food industry.
“This is the time of year when families gather around the table and connect over a delicious feast,” Chef Jill Holland, general manager at Plate Above Catering, said in a press release. “By using Plate Above Catering this holiday season, you’re not only creating unforgettable moments, but you’re also feeding hope to a neighbor who wants to provide a better future for themselves and their families.”
The following are the deadlines to place an order for each holiday:
• Christmas: Friday, Dec. 15
• New Year’s Eve: Friday, Dec. 29
