EHS performing artists excel
Submitted by Jen La Sala
November has been a busy month for Edgewater High School’s performing arts students.
The marching Edgewater Eagle Band performed its field show for the season-ending musical performance assessment, the culminating task for marching band programs across the state. Our students did an incredible job. Congratulations to Band Director Maria Toledo and our marching Eagle students. They earned MPA superior ratings for percussion and for visual performance, plus four excellent ratings — twice for music performance and once each for auxiliary (guard) and general effect.
Edgewater’s theater department recently produced three nights of “Macbeth.” Our thespians performed their lines as if speaking their daily slang. Congratulations on a wonderful show.
The Edgewater Eagle chorus students recorded for the WKMG News Channel 6 “Sounds of the Season” special. Tune in on Christmas Day to watch their performance.
